Thismoment DEC 3.1.5 – Release Notes

Jun 20, 2012

We’ve pushed the newest version of our platform to all 3.0 DECs. Here’s a look at what’s included in the release.

Improved RSVP Event Module (Now approved for YouTube!)

Improved RSVP Event ModuleWe’ve made a number of improvements to our RSVP Event Module. In summary, the RSVP Event Module allows you to link your account and import data about an existing Facebook Event into a module on your DEC with one click, and promote your event across multiple distribution points. After technical review it has been approved by YouTube for use on all Basic DECs.

Email Notification Improvements

Edit Auto Email NotificationBased on feedback from customers who’ve used our new email notification system we’ve added yet more customization and control to this important step in the UGC approval cycle.

  • Option to Enable/Disable Approved/Denied individually

Customers now have the option to enable sending email to users whose submissions are approved, but not to those who are denied, and vice versa.

  • Manually edit auto email notification

When a submission is approved or denied, CMS moderators may now make custom edits to the email that will be sent to the user regarding his or her submission, giving ultimate control to our customers.

Facebook Back-end Authentication

It’s about as un-sexy as new features get, but it’s critical for some customers to pass muster with their security requirements. Users will see the new style of permission dialogue from Facebook. Facebook Back-end Authentication

Mobile Star Ratings

Customers with Mobile enabled may now employ a 1-5 star rating for users to browse and vote on UGC content from their mobile phones.

Workflow Enhancements

Copy All Pages from One Region to AnotherEach new release of our platform will include many bug fixes and workflow enhancements to make DEC production faster and easier. Here are few highlights in the Workflow Enhancements Department.

  • Copy All Pages from One Region to Another

Users may now copy ALL pages, galleries, content, and modules from one region to another. This is a great time saver for our multi-page, multi-region DECs. The idea is to get one master region set up and then clone it into other regions, rather than being forced to start from scratch with a new region as they are added.

  • Hide Unused Modules Toggle in Pagemaker

It’s easier than ever to get a true sense for how your DEC will appear from the Pagemaker through the new ability to “Hide Unused Modules.” This removes the hashmarks and extraneous space reserved for slots within the page that are not in use to reflect only the modules that have actually been added to the page you are editing.

  • Default Language Per Region

Manually setting the language on a per-page basis could be quite cumbersome. Now, when a new page is created it will automatically be set to the default language for the region in which the page exists.
