Thismoment DEC 3.1.6 – Release Notes

Jul 9, 2012

We’ve pushed the newest version of our platform to all 3.0 DECs. Here’s a look at what’s included in the release.

Push/Pull Content Updating to/from YouTube

As a demonstration of our deep YouTube integration our customers may now manage their YouTube video titles and descriptions directly within Thismoment’s CMS. Two new options, ‘Pull from YouTube’ and ‘Push to YouTube’ are now available directly within the Content Edit window. Once the YouTube account is authorized for the video in question, the Title and Description can be updated with one click. We’ve already heard of one happy customer using this feature today.

Mobile Consent Gate

Following hot on the heels of the popular desktop version of Consent Gate for European Union cookie compliance laws, we’ve extended the experience to Mobile as part of the platform.

Mobile Sharing

Mobile sharing on Facebook and Twitter per content now comes out of the box as part of our mobile templates and functionality.

HTTPS Support

There’s not a lot to see for this enhancement, but nevertheless it’s a big step forward for the platform. As the web (particularly Facebook and Google) move closer toward sending all of their traffic over HTTPS it means that apps and iframes that load within those environments must also utilize HTTPS, lest the browser pop up the dreaded “THIS PAGE CONTAINS UNSECURE CONTENT” alert. Going forward, all new DECs will be spun up with HTTPS from the start.

Easier Profanity Filter Access

It’s a little thing, but was requested by a number of clients so were happy to oblige. We now provide a link directly to the Profanity Filter tool from the Social Conversation section of the CMS, removing an additional 2 clicks for the user.
